No real pros or cons, to bling or not to bling. But sure, it will protect your swingarm so get it.

 

I think I'm hesitating because the covers I've seen get attached with adhesive. I met people who put them on and were happy with them but I don't think I've met anyone who had to take it off. I imagine it wouldn't be the hardest thing in the world to remove but the seeming permanency of it is there.

 

Never debate a carbon fiber swingarm cover.

 

After looking over numerous CF swing arm covers instead of doing my actual work, the Fullsix cover is held on by the bolts for the rear hugger and no adhesive is used so that's looking like a good option

Running dental floss behind covers that are attached with double-sided tape could be an option if you could actually get it under the cover.

Personally, if it's just a cover I'd take a pass. Kinda like the dudes that put turbo stickers on their Civic that doesn't have a turbo. LOL

 

I purchased some for my old Aprilia RSV Factory. Notorious for having the swingarm scratched from the twin pipes as they are so close and not much of a bump could have the swingarm wrecked.
I think the fitting instruction recommended a few spots of silicon to fit them to the arm. Throw on a couple of cable ties to hold it tight against the arm until it dried. I imagine it would have been a bitch to get them off but didn't end up being my problem.

They did look good....

 

I've been considering one for my 848 for years, but I think I'll just stick with the polished alloy look. Makes a nice contrast to the bling that's already on there.

But...if you want it, don't die wondering ! Get the bling get the bling !!

 

I thing my swing arm cover really brings together the rear fender. I placed foil 'tape' on the swing arm. I then spread an adhesive on the tape. After this I pressed the cover on to the swing arm. Secured it with painters tape over night. Not a single issue.

 

Looks sharp. I'm going to go for it. The front of my bike looks very done up compared to the rear and the swingarm carbon will balance it out
