Hello everyone,
Im looking at at 695 or 696. the 696 is close to perfect in my eyes, but in the interest of my wallet a 695 is also appealing. my question is, can i outfit a 695 with 696 parts? specifically i want the headlight, digital gauge, and possibly (but not a necessity) the gas tank. let me know if anyone knows if these parts can be used on a 695. thanks!

you probably could, but you will spend a lot more than with the 696 and you wont have the extra horses

I have attached a dyno graph of a Ducati M695 vs M696. Both have Termignoni slip-on exhaust systems, DP ECU and DP intake. The out put of horsepower and torque are alike. Although the dip at 5K-6K RPM is from the Siemens mapping, where as the Marelli mapping is clean. Strangely enough, you cannot feel this at all while riding. The M696 is a far better handling motorcycle.

Was there any tuning done for these Dynos? I just had my 600 miles service done on my '09 696 with Termis. Before the service, I found the bike was running pretty lean from the factory even with the new ECU. My dealer re-adjusted to make it richer and the throttle response is crisper and the flat spots are gone.

Probably worth test riding both bikes & then making a decison based on your impressions.

I think you'll find the gas/tank frame arrangement so different as to make it impractical to add the 696 tank to the 695. Friends with 696 bikes tell me accessing the battery is a major hassle, whereas it's not so bad on a 695 - must be some differences (apart from the extra 1 litre capacity of the 696 tank).
